EDITORIAL

When writing this page last year, I did not imagine that reality would so quickly confirm my comments. The pandemic caused by the coronavirus in terms of contagion and social isolation measures has clearly pointed out the fragility of our civilizational model and the consequences are still mere speculations.

More than ever, humanity faces a serious question of survival. Global warming at alarming rates, the massive disappearance of pollinating insects, threatening food security, the accelerated extinction of life due to human activities, the rampant deforestation that compromises the rain regime, are emblematic of the view with which we need to see our future.

Degrowth, which should be at the heart of political debates, is not even considered by our leaders and as Pierre Rabhi says: "Cultivating your garden or performing any activity that creates autonomy will be considered a political act, an act of legitimate resistance to the dependence and servitude of the human person.

Based on this observation, and with my vision of four decades of ecological activism, this proposal was built, which, in addition to economic or environmental perspectives, is, above all, a life project under the auspices of common sense.
